At Grace Gardens our values serve as the foundation for everything we do. These values are firmly rooted in time-honored Christian principles that have been embraced by the Church from ancient to modern times. We measure our success solely by the degree to which we embody and implement these values -- person-to-person, day-by-day.

Spiritual. Spiritual values are paramount, because they remind us that every person is unique and important -- for each is made in the image of God. Therefore, our employees are called to rise above self-interests, and serve others in the spirit of Christ. This means that we shall be truthful, helpful and compassionate in our dealings and communications with our constituents and each other. Our objective is to esteem each individual who graces us with her or his presence as if he or she were Christ himself in our midst.

Service. Our residents' needs come first. We appreciate the trust our residents and their families place in us. We respond to that trust by providing excellent care and service. Our approach is as basic as the Golden Rule itself, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (Matthew 7:12). Our residents -- their health, happiness and spiritual welfare -- are our mission, and we take that mission to heart -- person-to-person, day-by-day.

Employees. Our employees are our ambassadors of goodwill to others. They are employed according to their personal integrity, ethic of service, professional competence, and ability to truly care about others. Because we value our employees, we work hard to ensure that their careers are rewarding, and that their work is carried out in a highly supportive environment where they know that they really do make a difference.

Organizational Integrity. The parent organization that sponsors Grace Gardens is the Baptist Foundation of Kansas City. Begun over a decade ago through a generous grant from the Kansas City Kansas Baptist Association, the Baptist Foundation has established an outstanding reputation for assisting newer churches in locating and purchasing land upon which to build. Beginning in 1998 -- in response to an expressed need to provide quality housing for older adults wishing to live in a Christian-owned community -- the Baptist Foundation formed a subsidiary, known as Baptist Senior Ministries. Grace Gardens is the remarkable result of this labor of love. By God's grace, Grace Gardens has blossomed and grown through much prayer, careful planning, professional skill -- and, not least, the support of many devoted individuals and churches, as well as all three of the regional Baptist Associations. Baptist Senior Ministries is proud to have Superior Senior Living to manage the Grace Gardens community. Superior Senior Living has earned a superb reputation over the years as a preeminent provider of management services for Christian retirement communities across the nation.

Our promise to you is to provide for our residents' complete well-being with these sound Christian values as foundational -- person-to-person, day-by-day.

The Grace Gardens Community welcomes persons of all faiths and backgrounds into residency where spiritual, social, educational, recreational and cultural opportunities abound and where helpful employees are pleasant and truly care about you.
