is a special combination of housing and support services that provide residents help with many activities of daily living. This help includes such things as administration of medications, preparation of meals, assistance with bathing, dressing and other personal activities. Assisted Living allows a number of senior adults who might like a little help with daily living to enjoy a very comfortable and highly rewarding lifestyle in an elegant community of friends.

Our Community is not the same as a skilled nursing (or "nursing home") community. Skilled nursing communities provide more intensive levels of medical and nursing services for the benefit of persons with acute medical requirements. Today, many senior adults' needs can be happily met in Assisted Living communities, because such communities provide a caring and affordable environment that nurtures an independent lifestyle, while offering around-the-clock individually-tailored professional assistance and assurance just in case a serious medical problem should arise.

has a professional team that is directly responsible for providing the special care needs for residents with a diagnosis of dementia. They make use of an individualized program specifically tailored to enhance each resident's self worth and dignity based on the resident's needs, abilities, likes, previous vocation, hobbies, and more. A variety of activities are offered that will be stimulating to the visual, auditory, tactile and olfactory senses. The program will employ such activities as music, rhythm, exercise (for both large and fine motor skills), visual arts, life skills and reminiscing.

Activity-based daily living ensures the successful completion of tasks through individual participation. The program is designed to promote independence by placing emphasis on strengths and abilities. The emphasis is on experiencing success in daily living -- moment by moment. Families as well as staff are provided with educational opportunities and training. Family members are welcome, and are encouraged to participate in resident care.
